Make Money While Your Callers Are On Hold

As a business owner, you should always be marketing. PLAIN & SIMPLE.

One area that should never be overlooked when promoting your brand, is your phone system. You should use your telephone system as a means to attract more customers, inform users about a new update or service, as well as improve your relationship with you customers. Music-on-hold along with messaging-on-hold can attract more people to your business and place you a step ahead of your competitors.

I use Nextiva’s business VoIP phone system, with Nextiva you can build brand/product awareness through the music and messages you play while callers are on hold. This company enables you to make changes to your business phone system on the fly and update your on-hold recordings in minutes.

Your on-hold messaging campaign will help market your business effectively, but also reduce your call abandonment rate since your callers are better engaged.

What are you using for a phone system? Do you have a marketing message for your on hold customers?

Michael - I know this is an old post, but I have a question for you. Do you "resell" any of your on hold messaging as "ad space"? We work with many vendors that would be interested in being featured during hold times for our call center. I'm interested in finding out how much the market bears for a spot. Obviously there are a number of variables to consider... inbound call volume, average hold time, length of audio spot, etc. but I'm trying to get some benchmarks and the on hold companies I've talked to don't have that information. Can you help?
